feedback:

- after this dpkg* upgrade, i've also upgraded some other packages, but then have not seen that error
- i've reinstalled the dpkg packages, and again i've not seen this error back

so maybe nothing to worry about.

Just confirming this bug, but there does not seem to be any issue with the actual updating. Is it a new "feature"?

Using 12.04 LTS and Synaptic 0.75.9 has end each upgrade with the same warning since 2014 Jan 22, when I started using Synaptic rather then Upgrade Manager.

In spite of this bug, Synaptic is much better then Upgrade Manager!
