Bug Description

Hello!

Is it possible to package 1.8.3.1 for precise, or is there a known incompatibility/issue for this package?

More generally, I'm curious whether the policy for this package is to only provide the most recent release to the most recent platform, or whether it's just a matter of time/energy for the maintainers to support older platforms?

There tend not to be too many dependency changes within the doxygen codebase from release to release, so I'm not aware of any other technical limitations to packaging for older platforms.

Thanks!
Liam

Understood.

Sounds like the appropriate course of action in this case is to investigate the creation of a PPA for doxygen.

Please feel free to close this issue - thanks.

We are using LTS Ubuntu releases and we found that current "stable" doxygen version in 12.04 crashes with segfault on x86_64 in case we add usergrop tag in DoxigenLayout.xml. But in 1.8.x this bug isn't reproducible. We want to avoid any system modifications such as adding new repositories. So it will be very good if current doxygen will be updated to newer version with fixed issue.
