Bug Description

Running Kubuntu Hardy Alpha 6 KDE4 from a clean install. While trying to setup places links to webdav:// and ftp:// folders, I found that passwords are not being saved to the wallet.

How to duplicate:

1. Open Dolphin and enter in a webdav:// or fto:// url
2. Enter login information in pop-up Authorization Dialog and check on Save Password
3. The Kwallet authorization dialog will prompt for your wallet password to allow KDE Daemon access. Enter correct password for Wallet. Dialog disappears and access is granted to web folder. The wallet is the KDE4 version. The KDE3 version of kwalletmanager is not installed.
4. Save the folder to Places to save the exact URL.
5. Log out and back in to start a new session.
6. Open Dolphin and click on the link in places. The authorization dialog will appear, but it will not request wallet access. If you manually open the wallet, there are 0 passwords and 0 forms saved.

Package Versions:
kwalletmanager-kde4 4:4.0.2-0ubuntu1
dolphin-kde4 4:4.0.2-0ubuntu1

Confirm on Kubuntu Hardy Beta with KDE 4.0.3 updates.
Same on Konqueror, Dolphin, Krusader KDE4 (2.0 SVN) and, i think, in another KDE4 software too.

GeekWorking, I think you need to change 'Affects' from Dolphin to kwalletmanager...

I also confirmed with Konqueror. All of the KDE apps seem to be using "KDE Daemon" as their method to access the wallet, so not sure if the root of the issue is with kwalletmanager or the underlying KDE component (guessing that it is part of kdebase). I think that it needs to be reclassified by somebody that better understands the interaction between the components.

One small change that I noticed is that in my latest testing, I was able to get "KDE Daemon" to appear on the list of processes that are allowed to access the wallet (wallet->settings->access control). Even though the KDE Daemon now has access, the passwords are still not being saved.

Last Test Versions:
kwalletmanager 4:4.0.3-0ubuntu3
kdebase-kde4, dolphin-kde4, konqueror-kde4 4:4.0.3-0ubuntu2

In searching around a bit, this appears to have an open bug on KDE's bug tracker as well. The test environment on the KDE site is a bit different, but the resulting bug appears to be the same.
