Bug Description

Emblems selected in Thunar don't show up in Docky (eg on folders in the bookmarks plugin). Instead, we get generic icons (application-default-icon)

On Ubuntu 14.04 using Thunar to select emblems, the names stored in the gvfs database begin with 'emblem-'

The problem appears to be that docky prepends "emblem-" to the names of emblems, in my case, this means it is searching for filenames like "emblem-emblem-colors-blue":

[Info 11:09:15.676] [DrawingService] Could not find 'emblem-emblem-colors-blue', using fallback of 'application-default-icon'.

The actual metadata:

$ gvfs-info -a "metadata::emblems" /home/who/folder
uri: file:///home/who/folder
attributes:
  metadata::emblems: [emblem-colors-blue]

There's a patch attached to this bug report that fixes the issue for me on 14.04/XFCE
