files slip under the dock (when download or save as)

Hi

In order to save time, my download location is Desktop then if, from Firefox, I download an attached file, it slips under the dock (see attachment)

I face the same situation if, from Libre Office writer, I save as ... on the Desktop

I know I should not compare Dash to Dock with Unity, but the fact is that ... never happened with the previous launcher, sorry!

Well ... actually not completely solved ...
because if you plug an USB key, the position on the Desk is upper left corner, and if there is already a file or a folder at this position, the icon key jumps onto it.
It's confusing to have 2 icons at the same place!!
