Unassigning motu-sru for now. Please subscribe motu-sru, if you have backported the indivual patches.
As Reinhard stated, backports might also be a place to shove the update in. In case the package can be backported, please assign the backporters team. |

Binary package hint: dmraid
dmraid in edgy has been broken ever since. See bug https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/dmraid/+bug/54246
Unfortunately it hasn't been fixed during the edgy development cycle and since dmraid worked in dapper this can be considered a regression.
According to the bug report the bug is due to a feature in the new kernel used in edgy, thus a new upstream version is required for dmraid. Unfortunately debian unstable does not yet have a new upstream version.

New version is in feisty. It will be tested by myself (rmjb) and others, then we can backport. |

This has been tested my 3 persons in feisty and it works. There does not seem to be many dmraid users in total so I think 3 is enough. |

I can also add that I rebuilt the dmraid 1.0.0.rc13-2ubuntu1 package on Edgy (with no changes) and tested it with the Ubuntu 6.10 Desktop CD, and it worked fine on my Intel fakeraid (mirror). |

Marking as high importance as it causes severe breakage ( can't boot ) to effected users.
