I have been testing new installations of 16.04 server and desktop and continually get the same response to do with DMA DRDY EXT and interupt 16 all fall over on installation - this has been going on for at least 2months from 11 - Oct - 16 and appears to be caused by the installation programs If the installation completes then inode faults start to appear and have to be fixed manually using fsck eg: fsck /dev/sda1 this will recover lost inodes and clear the wrong count but as soon as the system is rebooted they start to appear again The problem needs to be corrected at the installation files as most times it is impossible to successfully update from the installation.
