Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Various dkms weirdness

"Error! The module acpi-call 1.1.0 is not currently installed."

But there are also like 3 services failing to start in the log, so maybe the system is just misconfigured somewhere that affects all of them.

The bug also indicates that EFI variables are not supported by the firmware, so I'm not sure fixing the underlying issues would result in a working system.
