Kernel 4.11 update

I was trying to update my Ubuntu 16.04 with the last kernel version.
My current version is
uname -r
4.8.8-040808-generic
And I would like to update the kernel to the new 4.11.

I downloaded from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.11/ the files
  linux-headers-4.11.0-041100_4.11.0-041100.201705041534_all.deb
  linux-headers-4.11.0-041100-generic_4.11.0-041100.201705041534_amd64.deb
  linux-image-4.11.0-041100-generic_4.11.0-041100.201705041534_amd64.deb
to a folder, there I executed the first one without errors, but on the second one I have a problem.

This is the log generated on the installation...

Your problem is that Nvidia experiences errors when building for this kernel. It needs a new patch, try contacting people here:

Or you could use a patch for 4.10 and install 4.10 kernel.

Sorry, there actually is a new patch: https://pkgs.rpmfusion.org/cgit/nonfree/nvidia-340xx-kmod.git/plain/4.11_kernel.patch

I've been about two days recovering my Ubuntu in a try to update the nvidia driver...
I don't know if want to try to update the kernel now :-))
