Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
System-
Graphic card ati radeon 9250 is not in list so I tried ATI Mach8, Mach32, Mach64.... (now works on DVI port only if VGA port is disconnected).
I selected screen1 monitor Viewsonic VG181 with resolution 1280x1024
I selected screen2 monitor LCD panel widescreen resolution 1360x768 (could not find my Samsung model LE37S81B in list)
But on re-log or reboot, xserver only gives me low resolution mode with tiny unreadable fonts, so I had to disconnect Samsung on VGA
-------
Is there a simple way to configure xorg.conf (even manually) to obtain:
primary screen : monitor Viewsonic VG181 1280x1024 - connected to DVI port
secondary screen : Samsung flat screen TV 1360x768 - connected to VGA port
simply like in ATI windows driver
thank you

Gutsy had a new method of multi-monitor displayconfig doesn't support. For xorg.conf instructions see http:// www.intellinuxg raphics. org/dualhead. html.
I'll make this bug a duplicate of the bug that deals with the requirement of displayconfig to support the new method as available via xorg.conf and xrandr command.
