digikam can't delete a file directly from camera while importing

Im using a Sony A200 DSLR with digikam. Now in the importscreen, when i try to delete a picture by right clicking it and choosing delete, an errormessage appears that say the file cannot be deleted and i have two options, continue or cancel.
Anyway what option i choose, the file isn't deleted from the camera.

Digikam 1.0/final is now available for Karmic users in karmic-backports repository. Can you enable backports repository and confirm that you still have this problem?

I have already updated to version 1.0 final from the backports and the bug is still repoduceable.

Is your camera seen by Linux as USB Mass Storage device (that you can mount as filesystem)? Or do you need to use gphoto2 to access the camera? Can you provide output of the following commands (when camera is attached):
- df
- lsusb
- gphoto2 --auto-detect

Can you use "kdebugdialog" to enable digikam debugs and then run "digikam" from terminal (Konsole) and attach the messages printed in terminal when delete fails?

The camera its connected via gphoto2 as PTP camera.
