Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open digiKam configuration and move to Collections pane.
2. Click "Add Collection" next to "Collections on Network Shares," select a path within a network share (e.g. "smb://diskstation/home/digikam") and click OK.

Expected result:

digiKam asks for the collection's name, like it does for "local" collections, and then it is added under the "Collections on Network Shares" header.

Actual result:

digiKam does not ask for the collection's name, and nothing is added under the "Collections on Network Shares" header.

Hi there!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.

Thanks!

Reporting this bug at bugs.kde.org requires an account, which requires a valid email address. The website also issues this warning:

"PRIVACY NOTICE: KDE Bugtracking System is an open bug tracking system. Activity on most bugs, including email addresses, will be visible to the public. We recommend using a secondary account or free web email service (such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, or similar) to avoid receiving spam at your primary email address."

I don't have a secondary email account and I don't wish for my email address to be publicised. Is there another way to make this bug report available to the KDE developers?
