FTBFS with glibc-2.16 (due to outdated gnulib)

Bug #1079770 reported by Wookey on 2012-11-16

Bug Description

diffutils does not build against eglibc-2.16 due to gets having been removed
but embedded gnulib in package still referring to it.

Upstream bug links are in the patch.

This patch makes it work by #ifdefing the offending line but the proper
fix is a new upstream release using a newer gnulib. Preferably by syncing from debian.

Rather than just apply this patch it's better to just sync with upstream Debian unstable for this package as it has autoconf arm64 updates and cross-build fixes already included.

I fixed this independently earlier (on top of the Debian sync you mentioned).

diffutils (1:3.2-7ubuntu1) raring; urgency=low

  * Avoid assuming that gets is declared.
