Double click 'Misc - Grid' > change Columns 3 to 1 > OK button > click and drag 'Misc - Tree' and it doesn't crash.
4) What happens instead is it crashes.

The funny thing is, that Dia crashes even when simple lines are connected to the Grid object instead of Tree or Bus objets.
If the lines were connected by clicking corresponding connection points on the Grid, then Dia crashes on resizing the grid in Step 2.
If on the other hand three lines were just put on canvas and then connected to the grid, they do stay connected to proper connectors once the grid is resized. This is confirmed by moving the Grid object around. However, on saving the diagram or when trying to delete the top line, Dia crashes for no apparent reason.
