I've had some of my users report this issue and I hadn't been able to replicate it on my own systems. After doing some research I found this bug and just wanted to add something very interesting that I've found in my situation.

I've noticed that if a computer can't get an address from DHCP I can plug it in to a 10/100 switch and then connect the switch to the wall and the issue goes away. That lead me to believe that the problem was caused by speed mismatch on the interface since all my core switches are configured to do auto negotiation. I tried configuring the interface speed and duplex manually but that didn't help. Since my Linux user base is small and I have plenty of 10/100 switches I've been using that as a temporary workaround until I can get this figured out.

Just wanted to post this in case someone is having similar issues and needs a temp fix.
