Bug Description

Binary package hint: devicekit-power

devkit-power version 014-3 does not run. When I unplug the laptop, I do not get a battery icon in the notification area as I should. Running dev-kit-power from the terminal fails:

sudo devkit-power
(devkit-power:3305): devkit-power-gobject-WARNING **: Couldn't enumerate devices: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)

It behaves very similar to an older and fixed Karmic bug, #392798.

I am getting these errors on a MacBookPro5-3 using Lucid. pm-suspend still works so it's not a ig deal for me, but gnome-power-manager does not function:

(gnome-power-manager:1790): devkit-power-gobject-WARNING **: Couldn't enumerate devices: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)

After updating yesterday, everything is working for me.

Note that I do use the mactel-support ppa, it may have been an update from here that fixed it.

For me (MacBook Pro 5.4, also using mactel ppa), it has been working for a few weeks. But it's hard to be sure because there were always periods where it was working, and then it failed again (compare comment #4).
