Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

Somewhat reminiscent of a few releases ago, gpm is showing that my battery is fully charged when it is not and shows that it is charging when it is discharging. This seems to be intermittent, possibly relating to state changes around suspend-resume.

Power Statistics history shows me there is no data to display.

AC is plugged in for first set of attachments and is unplugged (running on battery) for the second set of attachments.

Devicekit-power is reporting that the battery is in an identical state for both sets of attachments. It seems that GPM is reporting what DKP is telling it, so I'm labeling this bug for devicekit-power.

OK, have apport-collected again for devicekit-power.

gpm is giving correct information today after this morning's resume from suspend, and I can see historical charge statistics for the last week.

But again it's not working; seems to break when I leave my notebook charging to full capacity then remove AC.

My AAO A150 doesn't even charge my battery and gpm is showing (on mouseover) "Battery if fully charged" but on mouseclick is shows "Battery in laptop: 0.0%".

The led that indicates the power just keeps blinking orange, no stable light at all. Never reaches green either.
Worked like a charm in hardy (8.04).

So, after a very long time search for solutions, I think this is a problem for almost ***Acer*** laptops. Hmm, hope Ubuntu dev team should consider this is a serious problem. It prevents your people to use Ubuntu on an Acer machine.
