This seems to be a bug that hits some python packages, as far as I have seen only python packages with gui's. This is probably the same bug that hits awn-settings in natty.

I should have described howto reproduce the bug:

Start Devede, click "add" under files list, click the file to choose a movie file -> crash happens when the info from the movie is read/displayed in the GUI.

I used a .mov file captured on my iphone.

this happens when i try to change the values a little from pal format to NTSC format to play on USA standard dvd players

Ubuntu 11.04 (natty) reached end-of-life on October 28, 2012.
