Status changed to 'invalid' since the reporter has been banned from Launchpad, and there isn't any comment from a different user.

Excuse me, but this is no way to close a bug. From what I can tell, Flames_in_Paradise just deactivated his or her account, and that in no way makes this bug invalid. There is still a new upstream version that needs to be packaged in Debian and Ubuntu. Please don't do this in the future.

Changed in deng (Ubuntu):
status: Invalid → Triaged

This bug exists now for a time > 12month

Doom had it's 20th birthday celebrated in the meantime. The project itself offers an prepacked actual version for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Is there an easy way to ask to open an RFA bug on WNPP, as the maintainer lacks the time to update it ?

@ Alberto Salvia Novello: I can assure you that I were not banned from Launchpad. To clarify this.

unmaintained package:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=708843

Should it be better to request removal within Ubuntu?

Please leave this as Triaged. That means that a bug supervisor looked at it and determined it had enough information to be acted upon by a developer.

This was actually fixed in the doomsday source package. I can imagine that Debian will remove the deng source package shortly.
