Use ellipsis when name is too long

Bug Description
Binary package hint: democracyplayer
When the name of an element in the side pane is too long, it appears in the line below. Instead of that, there should be an ellipsis at the end of the name. I'm attaching two screenshots showing how it looks and how it should.
