[apport] democracyplayer crashed with TypeError in __new__()d

Binary package hint: democracyplayer

ubuntu Feisty, installed via synaptic package manager, hit the democracy tv icon and continue to get crash reports.
if i instll this by downloading the tar.gz this doesn;t happen
