Bug Description

When connecting the backup drive in Gnome Shell (Ubuntu Gnome), backup starts but does not open the progress dialog. It is hard to keep track of when the backup process is finished and when it's save to remove the drive.

Workaround: I have to open gnome-system-monitor and look for a process "deja-dup" (not to confuse with deja-dup-monitor which remains running after completion of the backup).

In artful, clicking on the "backup started" notification will bring up the progress window.
