deja-dup trivial backup downloads large amount for verify

Using deja-dup in Raring alpha, doing a trivial incremental backup consistently downloads a large amount of data (70MB) during verification phase.

On a machine running 12.04 a trivial incremental backup only downloads for a few seconds for the verification.

Attaching terminal o/p produced by running
gnome-control-center deja-dup
and clicking backup. The large download appears to be generated by the last command there,
duplicity 'restore' '--file-to-restore=home/user/.cache/deja-dup/metadata' ...

Is this effect caused by the change for bug #1055356, which downloads a test file after each backup operation to check the integrity of the archive.
