Bug Description

I have deja-dup configured to back up to a directory on an external disk. The disk is mounted at /media/steve/Ubuntu\ Backup/; the directory containing the backups is /media/steve/Ubuntu\ Backup/deja-dup. I'm trying to restore files from those backups. Deja-dup is unable to find the backups, but it seems that it's not looking especially hard/not looking at all.

To reproduce:
1) Launch the Backup app
2) Click the "I want to restore files from a previous backup..." button. The Restore dialog opens
3) In the "Backup location" popup, select the external disk that contains the backups
4) Click "Forward"

Expected results:
Deja dup thinks a bit and either finds the backups or tells me that it can't find them

Actual results:
Deja dup claims to be looking for the backups. There is an indeterminate progress bar in the Restore window. Deja dup never actually finds anything though...the progress bar stays up indefinitely (or at least 5 minutes, which is when I gave up). `top` shows that the deja-dup app is idle, and the blinky light on my external disk shows no disk activity. iotop confirms the lack of disk activity. Looks like deja-dup is not doing much at all.

Note that I cleverly deleted ~/.config on my system, so I don't have any saved deja-dup configuration in place when I'm trying to perform this restoration. Not sure if this is relevant or not. [I am trying to restore ~/.config from the backup!]
