Bug Description

Ubuntu Software Center 5.2.3, Ubuntu 12.04
software-center trunk r3054, Ubuntu 12.04

0. You need a laptop with only a touchpad (no mouse, no trackpoint)
1. Navigate to the screen for Snorms.
2. Scroll to the "Also requires:" section.

What Dave Morley sees: "Also requires: ✓ mouse"
http://ubuntuone.com/52Jk2B9R8c0H6HcOqNHDDl

What I see: "Also requires:" ... and then a blank space.
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/109146795/Snorms.png

For some reason, the requirements aren't being displayed properly on my computer.

Running PYTHONPATH=/usr/share/software-center/ python -c 'from softwarecenter.hw import get_hardware_support_for_tags; print get_hardware_support_for_tags(["hardware::input:mouse"])'

I got:
{'hardware::input:mouse': 'unknown'}

debtags (1.10.2) unstable; urgency=low

  * debtagshw/detectors.py:
    - return HardwareSupported.NO instead of UNKNOWN if a udev property
      for the requested hardware is not found, thanks to Matthew Paul

Hello Matthew, or anyone else affected,

Accepted debtags into precise-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debtags/1.9+git20120320-0ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please change the bug tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not, change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance!

I installed the proposed python-debtagshw and verified that the fix works: "This software requires a mouse, but none is currently setup." (Reported bug 1023336 on the spelling.)
