Ok, I over-interpreted some of the tickets - it doesn't get far enough to run into the permissions problems, because it doesn't deal with `virtio` being builtin instead of a module (which is what the error is from, the `writerKernelMo dules` function in `fakemachine/ machine. go`. Still in the "why is this in ubuntu if there's no way for it to actually work" category, though.
