Bug Description

Binary package hint: debootstrap

I'm trying to build a cross-compiling environment for arm under Marvick x86_64.

Here is how I ran stage1 / stage 2:

$fakeroot /usr/sbin/debootstrap --variant=scratchbox --foreign --arch armel squeeze /home/sb2/root http://ftp.fi.debian.org/debian

$sb2 -eR ./debootstrap/debootstrap --second-stage
I: Installing core packages...
W: Failure trying to run: dpkg --force-depends --install /var/cache/apt/archives/libc6_2.11.2-7_armel.deb

What happened was ldconfig failed because it couldn't create /var/cache/ldconfig/aux-config.

Creating the directory manually fixes the problem. Is it possible to create the director in the debootstrap script?
