Bug Description

Binary package hint: debootstrap

I'm writing a few scripts to automate the processes described on this page:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCDCustomizationFromScratch

When I run debootstrap and specify karmic, the chroot installs fine. But when I specify lucid, it fails with the error:

W: Failure trying to run: chroot /home/myuser/live_cd_images/server/work/chroot dpkg --force-depends --install /var/cache/apt/archives/libc6_2.11.1-0ubuntu7_i386.deb

Is something wrong with the repository?

I'll attach my setup.sh and a script log.

Regards,
Adam J Richardson

I've run into this same issue. debootstrap works fine to install Maverick or Natty, but it fails on Lucid with the chroot error.

Works fine in Jammy. Does this still occur on a supported Ubuntu release?
