Bug Description

I'm testing the Lubuntu alternate i386 20120328 iso and when the installation is complete the CD is not ejected and I'm not prompted to remove disc, close tray, etc. I repeated this twice to be sure.

I just tried the 20120327.1 Xubuntu alternate image and it's fine. I didn't have time to test yesterdays 20120327 Lubuntu image and I see Ubuntu is still on 20120327.1 but I also didn't test it.

This alone would not require a rebuild, that is we could address it in the release notes, but we may also have a false crash report regarding pcmanfm ............. still investigating.

Installing on Pentium 4 PC (onboard VGA) works as expected: CD auto-ejected, message informs about "first run after installation". This is checked twice with installations from lubuntu precise beta 2 alternate .iso of 20120328. test cases dri-001 & dwi-001.

Thanks George. I'll do some retesting either later today or tomorrow to rule out operator error (who me) or a hardware problem. It's not a critical problem anyway because you can easily just select Boot from first hard disc from the boot menu when the system reboots in case anyone does encounter this.

Odd thing though, I'd tested 20120327 i386 Ubuntu and it was fine, then after seeing this with 20120328 I repeated the test and still no auto-eject. Then I tested Xubuntu 20120327.1 and it was fine.

I'm marking this invalid for two reasons:

(1) George tested the same image and it was OK.

(2) I integrity tested this image on the same machine that produced the disc and the test failed, retested integrity on the box where I encountered this error and it passed, so I appear to have some hardware problems :^(
