Sayng "no" to "wanna apply changes?" in partitioner leads to no-exit message box

Bug #89618 reported by Mikhail Gusarov on 2007-03-04
Affects Status Importance Assigned to Milestone
debian-installer (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: debian-installer

Installing ubuntu herd5 alternate (qemu 0.8.2, 4G disk image, if this matters)

Partitioning step.

"Partitioning method" -> "Guided - use entire disk and set up LVM"
"Select disk to partition" -> hda
"Write the changes to disks and configure LVM?" -> "No"

You've trapped in "No root file system is defined" dialog box. Both "Go back" and "Continue" buttons return you back to this dialog box again.

Sounds a bit like a side-effect of bug 89004, although I'm not certain. Can you reproduce this with the Feisty beta?

Mikhail Gusarov (dottedmag) wrote :

Unfortunately can't ATM, due to bug 96857

Tested Feisty release, seems to be fixed.
