Bug Description

Binary package hint: debian-installer

I'm using the Ubuntu 10.10 alternate installation cd and if fdisk is used in "Execute a shell" the menu "Partition disks" isn't complete synchronized with it. Steps to reproduce:

1. Select "English"
2. Press F4 and choose "Install a commandline-system"
3. Press F6 and choose "Expert mode"
4. Choose "Install Ubuntu"
5. After all steps including "Detect disks" are done choose "Execute a shell"
6. Type "fdisk /dev/sda"
7. Press n (add a new partition)
8. Press p (primary partition)
9 Select partition number 1
10. Select for first and last cylinder the default values
11. Press w (write table to disk and exit)
12. Type "mke2fs -b 4096 -i 4096 -t ext4 /dev/sda1"
13. Type "exit"
14. Bug: If you choose "Install the base system" you got the message that "Partition disks" is needed first
15. Choose "Partition disks"
16. Choose "Manual"
17. Choose the #1 primary partition
18. Bug: "Use as" says "do not use". This entry isn't synced with the fdisk partition. There should automatically be the value "Ext4 journaling file system"
