Bug Description
Binary package hint: debian-installer
Kubuntu Alternate AMD64 Maverick install on a VBox 64bit VM.
During the install, I switched over to tty2 to tail /var/log/syslog while working on a possible problem. After switching back to tty1 to continue watching the d-i UI, I discovered that the UI was not being redrawn and was all but unreadable.
Screenshot attached.
This only seems to happen after switching to a different console and back again, and no amount of subsequent switching seems to correct this.

Update... this was going on during the software installation part... once software installation completed, I swapped terminals once more and this time the UI DID refresh... so perhaps this only occurs when swapping terminals during activity? (maybe activity that involves a progress bar?)
