Bug Description

Binary package hint: debian-installer

Detail:
PC with Phoenix Bios, nvidia chipset and Sil 3112 Raid SATA controler with one SATA Disk and one IDE. No Raid config,
Ubuntu 8.10 running from sdb8 with grub in sdb8, seperate Bootmanager in sdb (Win/others/Ububtu).

I did a complete Install of 10.4b2 from Alternate CD with Bootoption nodmraid in sdb6. All partitions like usual, install grub in sdb6 without errors.
Reboot -> no Bootloader in sdb6 found...
Reboot Alternate CD /repair mode : Going to reinstall GRUB results in something like "Grub-reinstall failed with Error 1 ..."
I checked this with and without Bootoption nodmraid

Even Installation on Floppy (/dev/fd0) is not possible in this repair option.
