2009-04-26 18:55:23 Bryan Burke description Ubuntu 9.04 Stable Original forum post (listed under "First Issue"): http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1137615 This bug occurs when using the alternate and server installers. I have two SATA drives connected to a Super Micro X6DVA-EG motherboard. They are configured in the BIOS RAID utility as a RAID1 mirror. When I assign a name to that mirror (e.g., "main"), the installer cannot activate the array, giving me the following error: Could not stat device /dev/mapper/asr_main - No such file or directory. ERROR!!! However, if I leave the array name blank, the installer successfully stats the device "/dev/mapper/asr_". I have attached the syslog, which shows the errors mentioned above.
