19.04 server powerpc64-el Installer fails at base-installer step

Bug Description

Initial installation of Ubuntu 19.04 Server Powerpc64-el fails on the base system installation step with the following error:

base-installer: error: /cdrom/install/filesystem.squashfs has failed to be mounted as squashfs

Trying with 18.04 succeeds.

which iso URL did you use ?
On which machine ? baremetal, vm, LPAR ?

The iso comes from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/19.04/release/ubuntu-19.04-server-ppc64el.iso

and the install is on a RaptorCS Blackbird mainboard with 8 core Power9.

Interesting, that very same iso works well on P8 and I tried on a P9 (witherspoon) vm and didn't have any issue.
I don't have access to RaptorCS machines, though I don't get what could be related to the hardware given the type of error at that point
Could you attach some more logs : /var/log/syslog, dmesg output

The machine is still on test, so, yes, I can try again an installation and get more logs. I'll do it probably next week-end and post it here.
