Bug Description

The network interface is found and works fine during the installation process. However, upon re-boot at the end of the installation, there is no network. The /etc/network/interfaces file looks fine.

The system is dual boot, so I might be able to extract and post potentially useful information from my 14.04.3 server on another partition.

Note that the server daily used to work, but I can only narrow it down to 2015.11.30 worked and 2015.12.11 does not.

It doesn't even seem to realize the hardware is there.

The following lines are present in the 14.04.3 kern.log file, but not the previously posted 16.04 kern.log file (I use the old interface names in 14.04.3):

This bug report might be invalid, I'll set it to incomplete until I figure it out for sure.
My issues seem to be related to dual boot and grub.

Changed in debian-installer (Ubuntu):
