Bug Description
Binary package hint: debian-installer
Just a minor suggestion:
Anyone using the alternate install CD almost certainly wants to read the system messages at boot. May I suggest that the "quiet" kernel parameter should not be included by default? It's very useful when debugging why things don't work.
[Actually, I'd set splash=verbose at all times, even in the regular installer - yes, it *might* scare the occasional newbie to see status messages, but it does help the expert a lot. Furthermore, it provides confirmation that *something* is happening - which is useful if you are doing an install, and just see a blank screen for 2 minutes. ]

I confirm and agree that for the Alternative CD, quiet should not be.
