Bug Description

The Ubuntu 12.10 desktop installation media provides the option to encrypt the home folder with ecryptfs. If this option is choosen the swap partition will be encrypted with cryptsetup too. In my opinion /tmp and maybe even /var should be encrypted too in this case because they could provide sensitive data like the swap partition.
