Bug Description

I commonly install Ubuntu using a PXE server. I was disappointed to see that the DVD structure has been altered with 11.10, and even further disappointed when I found that the netboot package obtained from http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot/ is looking in the wrong location for packages. In my web server log, I see the following error:

[Mon Oct 24 20:08:05 2011] [error] [client 10.10.10.10] File does not exist: /apache/vhosts/ks/docs/ubuntu/desktop/11.10/dist/32bit/dists/oneiric-updates

The installer errors out with a message starting with "No kernel modules were found." Looking at the DVD (or CD) image that I'm using, I find no directory under dists by that name. I only see:

: server9 80#; ls dists
./ ../ oneiric/ stable@ unstable@

Am I missing an option somewhere, or was the netboot image incorrectly built?

affects: ubuntu → debian-installer-netboot-images (Ubuntu)
