When a session is open all saved breakpoints are not displayed until i add one

Binary package hint: ddd

Open a program with debug information and sources

Insert some breakpoints into some of these sources

save the session and close

reopen ddd

open the session saved, go into Source -> breakpoint , no breakpoints are displayed.

Now add one breakpoint

After this the breakpoints saved will appear and you can see it in the sources or in Source->breakpoint window
