Bug Description

I just did stock install of ddclient, followed the configuration and was happy until some moments later received the email that my host has been blocked due to abuse, (multiple updates with same ip).

I purged and reinstalled it many times but of no avail.

It looks like there is a problem with your cache. Either ddclient can't create the cache (does the parent directory exists? are the rights set correctly?) or the cache file gets deleted. Try to use the verbose option or check the logging.

Likely fixed in a newer version of the ddclient package. Please reopen if that is not the case.
