Bug Description

Binary package hint: dbus

dbus init script lacks the 'status' action. It would be useful to be able to determine if the status daemon is running or not by querying:
 * /etc/init.d/dbus status

A concerted effort is being made to add status actions to many Ubuntu services' init scripts:

Patch is uploaded now. Just needs some one in universe-main to approve it. Built perfectly in an intrepid pbuilder.

I'm going to file a debian bug now and see if I can push it back to them as well.
