I'd be using it right away if it had a xml2cpp style generator like gdbus / qtdbus.

I'd be using it right away if it had a xml2cpp style generator like gdbus / qtdbus to generate interface client and sever stubs.
Some matching CMake macros installed in /usr/lib/<arch>/cmake/dbus-cpp/ would make this even better :) |
