Bug Description
With davfs2 1.5.0-1, fuse 2.9.2-4ubuntu4 and kernel 3.16.1 (utopic)
You will now get this kind of error when write/copy a file "large" file to davfs2:
error writing ‘/mnt/owncloud/
The bug is reported upstream there:
https:/
and a patch (to fuse) is coming but I'm reporting it here to warn other users.
A temporary fix seems to be to add:
buf_size 135
in your davfs2.conf configuration file.

To Patrick: thanks for posting... I would have got crazy about this otherwise.
To Ubuntu bug managers: please assign priority to this bug and make sure that fix is backported to the ubuntu kernel.
Incidentally, this bug breaks the possibility of using owncloud with webdav.
To users: another symptom that I am getting is a "cannot extend file" error.
