Bug Description

Darktable simply doesn't start after installation from standard repository, calling from terminal hangs forever like this:

$ darktable
[defaults] found a 64-bit system with 3013052 kb ram and 2 cores (0 atom based)
[defaults] setting very conservative defaults
[mipmap_cache] cache is empty, file `/home/kemel/.cache/darktable/mipmaps-96641d863708325ef44e65553c0d94e6337c309f' doesn't exist
^C

This is something very serious since software installed from repositories should work after installation.

I can't reproduce your issue, on a standard raring system.
From what you posted I can see you press ctrl+c, is the darktable hung after that message? If so, how long do you wait before killing it?
