Bug Description

Hello,

Disk Archive 2.4.2 has a know issue preventing from restore a directory from a DAR Archive in a specific case which is, in fact, very common:

Quote from Denis Corbin (from Disk Archive team):

"The problem occurs from a differential backup when restoring a directory that has been recorded not to have changed since the archive of reference was made and while such directory does not exists in the filesystem at the time of the restoration."

Full thread here: http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.sysutils.backup.dar.support/2498

It appears the bug has been fixed in 2.4.5. Could it be possible to have this version available within precise repository ? For now dar is quite difficult to use as backup solution on Ubuntu 12.04.

Thanks for your help.

FYI the error encountered is:

Error while restoring <filename> : Could not create inode: <filename> : No such file or directory
Warning! No file in that directory will be restored:

The only possible workaround is to create all directories before recovering which is quite impossible if you are trying to recover a whole partition or even an entire app.

Regards.
