"Dansguardian" when enabled does not let me connect to the internet. This problem started after performing a suggested upgrade of Ubuntu.

"Dansguardian" v 1.9 when enabled does not let me connect to the internet. This problem started after performing a suggested upgrade of Ubuntu. I need the parental controls to work in the same manner as before the upgrade.

I am using Ubuntu 8.04
                - the Hardy Heron - released in April 2008.
