Bug Description
When dconf-editor runs, its height changes arbitrarily. Usually I run it maximized (I'm on a netbook with a screen resolution of 1024x576). Generally, it's OK, but for some items the window becomes far too tall for my screen for no apparent reason.
The first attached screenshot is what I see when I browse to com.canonical.
The next two screenshots show neighboring options with the dconf-editor window at its minimum height. As you can see, both displays are unreasonable, since you can't see which option is selected. However, the one doesn't even fit in my screen.
This bug affects multiple items in dconf-editor; I just gave a single example. It affects the two machines I've tested it on (including one with a much larger screen), and I've seen it in both Natty and Oneiric.
Of course, the proper behaviors here are:
1. The scrollable pane where settings can be changed should have its minimum height specified such that at least one line is readable at all times.
2. The window's minimum height should be set in a sane way.
3. If the windows minimum height exceeds the available screen height, the window should scroll.
