Bug Description

Heya ,

dconf-editor doesn't reflect some entries set from my gschema.overrides, yet listing them within the terminal with gsettings shows the correct entries, and they're also taking effect in new accounts.

This bug occurs with keys overriden in the /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/ubuntu-artwork.gschema.override file from the ubuntu-artwork package.
gsetting returns the correct value (e.g. "gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.interface font-name" return "Ubuntu 11" instead of "Cantarell 11" displayed in the dconf-editor) so the value stored in dconf is correct. It's just dconf-editor that does not pick up the overriden keys.

Ubuntu 12.10;

I.e.:
gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences button-layout
'close,minimize,maximize:'

In dconf-editor:
button-layout :minimize,maximize,close

Actuall used is that of gsettings.

If one go to editmode for key value in dconf-editor and enter (the default) :minimize,maximize,close - actually used get changed to that value. Then if one select [Set to default] the bold indicator showing it has been edited is reset, value is the same - still :minimize,maximize,close - but actually used is close,minimize,maximize:

gsettings shows the correct values since it takes overrides into account. Only dconf is affected.

As you can see in the linked gnome bugzilla entry this bug has already been fixed in the upstream dconf code.

In case someone needs it I made a patch for the Precise (12.04) version of dconf. The package built with it is in my ppa:
ppa:mjuhasz/backports
