Bug Description
Prerequesites: fresh installation of cyrus-imapd-2.4 and cyrus-admin-2.4.
Trying to connect to the locally running imap server using cyradm provided by cyrus-admin-2.4 fails: the command "cyradm --server <MYHOST>" only produces the error message: "cyradm: cannot connect to server". According to a tcpdump and the mail.log, cyradm tries to connect, but gives up immediately.
Oct 14 14:30:21 virtual cyrus/imap[8593]: accepted connection
Oct 14 14:30:21 virtual cyrus/imap[8593]: Connection reset by peer, closing connection
Analyzing the tcpdump shows, that imapd answers correct (* OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 LITERAL+ ID ENABLE AUTH=PLAIN SASL-IR] <MYHOST> Cyrus IMAP v2.4.12-
If I run the same command on a remote server running debian squeeze, cyradm behaves as expected and prompts for the imap password. Trying the same vice versa and connecting with ubuntu cyradm to debian imapd does not work too, so the error seems to be in ubuntu cyradm.
